Gods best can be defined in many different ways depending who you are and what you have overcome! Gods best is not materialistic or something we can even see at times. Many things fit into that category. Our family, our church family, our homes, jobs, vehicles. Gods best is something much deeper. It's simply an intimate, vibrant relationship with Him. Now, on the surface that might not seem like much to some but it's everything. The personal relationship we have with Jesus trumps everything else in our lives both good and bad. What if life gets hard? I mean really hard? Isn't God in control of all things? Can't God change life circumstances if He desires? What's the point of having a relationship with Jesus if it doesn't protect us from hardships? Well, the short answer is regardless of life's trials, life's messiness, life's hardships, that personal relationship with Jesus remains the most important thing we will ever have. Even if God allows exstended testing to take place in our life, He's still the best thing for us. God never intends to harm you or hurt you. But keep in mind Gods desire is not to make life perfect for you either but to help you appreciate what you have in Christ. The best thing God can give us is Himself. His time! His attention! His care! All of it! How could anything be better than that? |
